Simon of Cyrene helps Jesus

FIFTH STATION

Consider how cruel tormentors, seeing Jesus was on the point of expiring, and fearing He would die on the way. They wanted him to die a shameful death on the cross, constrained Simon to carry the cross behind Jesus. How often do we hesitate or are unwilling or too blind, to help to carry the cross for others.

PRAYER Lord Jesus You always have a need of people to continue Your work. Help us understand that we are Your hands, Your feet, Your shoulders. Teach us to be generous with our time and energy.
