Jesus Meets His Mother

As Mary met her Son she must have been overwhelmed by the humiliation and physical agony this perfect man was suffering. It must have seemed incredible that Jesus, the greatest lover of all men, should be treated with such implacable hatred and cruelty.

PRAYER Holy Mary be near to all those who suffer, who cry out for help, who turn away from God, who ignore that Christ has suffered for them and with them. Make us aware of those around us who need our love each day.
