Jesus is taken down from the Cross

Joseph of Arimathaea asked Pontius Pilate to let him remove the body of Jesus. Pilate gave permission, so they came and took it away. Nicodemus came as well and brought a mixture of Myrrh and Aloe's, weighing about a hundred pounds. They took the body of Jesus and wrapped it with the spices in linen clothes. (John 19 38-40)

PRAYER Lord Jesus Your work was complete. Help us so that when our journey is done we may pray with you, "Father, into Your hands I commit my spirit, it is accomplished". Help us to see in all death a gateway to new life.
