Jesus is Stripped of His Garments
TENTH STATION
Every thing is taken - (every thing given up) - There is nothing left to hide; we are down to the bare bones and flesh - (even the garment, tradition tells us, His mother gave Him is stripped away) - Nothing left - such degradation - no dignity YET such acceptance; strength in the midst of weakness. Weakness as a result of the terrible journey to the cross, lack of sleep, loss of blood and agonising pain.
PRAYER Lord Jesus help us to realise that we have nothing of any true value except what we receive from Your goodness. Help us to face up to whatever lies ahead of us with faith and confidence so that in all things we may do the will of the Father.
