Jesus is laid in the Tomb
Feelings of fear, loss and disappointment over come the followers of Jesus. This apparently was the end of all their hopes and beliefs. mary, his mother, must have remembered his birth, an event of great wonder and hope. Everyone loves a new baby another unique being with such great possibilities and Jesus was especially blessed. No-one could foresee the tragedy of His end. His burial was a mirror image of this.
Jesus was taken from His cross and laid to rest in a tomb. The mourners did not know that His cruel death would be followed by the glory of His resurrection.
PRAYER Lord Jesus buried in the tomb give us hope that as we sure to follow You we may have confidence that we will share in the glory of Your resurrection.
