Jesus Falls the First Time

It happens every day; abject poverty and exploitation are the crosses carried by millions every day in many parts of the world. It is not too difficult to understand how many fall under such a load. Any attempt at "reaction" is all too often put down. The parallel is obvious. What is also equally obvious is the strength of will which enables the oppressed to carry on just as Jesus carried on.

PRAYER Lord Jesus we see you sharing in our weakness as you fall under the weight of the cross. So often we fail in carrying the cross of Your love for all people. Help us all to see the cross not as a burden but as a support on our journey through life.
