Christmas emails 2010
Below are the exchange of emails between Fr David, Fr Heri and Fr Stepanus. There are also some pictures of the land they are hoping to develop to build a Pastoral Centre. You can view them all in the image gallery
Dear Fr Heri
I write this email as I prepare to celebrate Midnight Mass. I send greetings to you and all in Siem Reap and Taom from me and your friends here at St Alban's: may the Christ Child bring you peace, joy and happiness!
During Advent we have been thinking and praying for you very specially. Each Sunday we remember you at all our Masses. We have invitied people to decorate a Christmas Tree at the back of Church making a donation to support all our freinds in Cambodia and last Sunday we held a special collection for our appeal to help you build a Pastoral Centre in Taom. We raised over $500 and received a separate donantion of over $150. The total we have raised since we began our appeal when you were with us in July is over £2,600 (almost $5000). If you check our website there should be some reference to all we have been doing to help support you and all our friends in Cambodia.
I do not know whether you are still on sabbatical or if you are now back in Siem Reap. Please pass on our love, prayers and good wishes to all the community in Siem Reap and Taom. It would be lovely to hear from you and to know what has been happening in Siem Reap and Taom. If you are still away perhaps you could ask Thon to contact me. We will post any information you send on our website.
With our love, prayers and good wishes to you all at this Christmas time.

Dear Fr David
I am Fr Stepanus Winarto who is in charge as Parish Priest of Siem Reap Church. I am very happy for your email that Fr Heri forward to me. I am very happy for your support to our Church, specially in Taom Church.
Many greetings and Merry Christmas to you and all parishioners of St Albans, Liverpool. I am very sorry not quickly answer your email, because I have many work in Siem Reap Church. Now, I got fever since three days ago, after celebration Christmas Mass in Phiek Sneng; Farm of Jesus on Dec 26th. But, everything is doing well in Siem Reap.
On Dec 27, we start to fill soil in Taom to prepare to build the Pastoral Center. I sent to you some pictures about the land that we will have plan to build the Pastoral Center. I hope next year we can start to build Pastoral Center in Taom.
Thank you very much for your support in praying and donation to our Church in Taom. It is great time that we can hope that next year will be better than before. Happy New Year 2011 to you and all parishioners.
In one service to our Lord,
Fr Stephanus Winarto SJ
