Friends of the Holy Land
A branch of Friends of the Holy Land has been started in our Local Pastoral Area. The main objectives of the group are:
v To raise awareness of the difficulties experienced by the Christian Community in the Holy Land
v To encourage and provide for prayers to be offered for their intentions
v To generate financial support to aid their well-being
The Christian community in the Holy Land is being particularly badly affected by the current worsening political situation in the area. The number of Christians has fallen to less than 2% of the population as people have left to find a more settled and stable way of life.
It is hoped that you will be able to support our fund raising events and remember the Christian Community in your prayers.
