Confirmation 2010: The next meeting for Parents and Candidates is this Wednesday 10 March 7.30-9.00pm in the Parish Centre.
Stations of the Cross will be celebrated at 7.30pm on Fridays during Lent.
Parish Pilgrimage to St. Alban's: We are planning a Pilgrimage to St. Alban's on 2 and 3 June this year. We will travel by coach to St. Alban's where we will receive a tour of the Cathedral and Shrine of St. Alban. We hope to celebrate Mass at the Shrine. Accommodation on a half-board basis will be at the Thistle Hotel. We return to Wallasey on 3 June via Shrewsbury where we will be given a tour of our Cathedral and where we will celebrate Mass. The cost of this Pilgrimage including both tours is £95. A limited number of single rooms are available at a supplement of £30. If you would like to join us please let Fr. David have a cheque for £30 as deposit made payable to St. Alban's Parish Account.
Llangollen Welsh Male Voice Choir in aid of the Lourdes Nurses Fund will be singing here again on Friday 26 March 2010 at 7.00pm in church. Tickets £5 available from Rita Corcoran on 637 1617 or the Presbytery between 9.00 & 1.00pm.
Parish Retreat to Holywell: We are pleased to announce a Parish Retreat at the Pilgrims Rest in Holywell led by Marie Kelly. It will begin at 6.00pm on Friday 20 April and finish on the afternoon of 1 May. Full Board Accommodation will be provided in 7 double and 7 single rooms. The cost will be £48 per person in a double room and £52 per person in a single room. Transport arrangements will be made later. If you would like to go please let Fr. David have your name and a £10 deposit.
Sr. Jo Bird (Co-ordinator of Spiritual Formation for the Diocese) 'Praying with Scripture' on Thursday 18 March at 7.30pm in the Parish Centre for people who could not make the talk on Wednesday afternoon, 3 March.

Wallasey 2 Lourdes Group Quiz Night is on Sunday 28 March at 8.00pm in the Parish Centre. There will be a raffle and Licensed Bar. £2 per person.

Secular Society Opposition to Papal Visit: This group have an online petition which has already attracted over 20,000 signatures against the Pope's visit to the U.K. A petition supporting the visit has only 1,200. Offertory Envelopes for the new Financial Year will be available for collection at the back of church at the end of all weekend Masses in March and on the first weekend in April. To help you find yours easily, they will be arranged in alphabetical order by surname. Please only start using them after 6 April. If you pay income tax, the Parish can claim a tax rebate on your offering if you join the Gift Aid Scheme. If you are not already a member of the scheme and would like to join it, please send a note with your details addressed to the Gift Aid Organiser either on the collection plate or via the presbytery letter box.
