St Alban's Feast Day 2008
The Music Festival for St Alban's feast day was a great success enjoyed by many. There was music from Mersey Harmony, a Liverpool based Ladies Barbershop chorus who are recently returned from a visit to Norway.
There was popular music from Mike Pearson and modern rock and pop by two bands: Chain Matrix and The Definite Article. The folk music was provided by Brian Lupton with songs from the musicals sung enthusiastically by St Paul's Operatic Society. The Classical delight was played by the Bonds, Alistair and Keith with Andy and Paula treating the audience to some blues and jazz.
The entertainment ended with the Moors singing a selection of Gospel Songs ending aptly with 'Oh Happy Day'
There were burgers and hot dogs; bacon butties; strawberry scones; pizza; sangria and Irish Coffees. A truly magnificent parish celebration.
Phtographs were taken by Andrew D Hurley and Simon Hudson from Wallasey Amateur Photographic Society.
